🏅🏆Allied Health and Pharmacy – Congratulations on Your Wins Beyond the Hospitals!

Young Talent Rising in Pharmacy - Chong Zhi Yan!

We are proud to celebrate Chong Zhi Yan, Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy, who has been awarded the Young Pharmacy Technician Award at the National Pharmacy Technician’s Day event organised by the Pharmacy Technician Community of Practice (PTCoP).

This accolade recognises young Pharmacy Technicians with under three years of experience who demonstrate strong technical competence, a commitment to patient care, and emerging leadership qualities. Standing out among nominees from across the country, Zhi Yan was also the only award recipient from Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH)—a remarkable achievement early in her career.

Zhi Yan’s recognition reflects the dedication and growing impact of our Pharmacy Technicians, who play a critical role in ensuring safe medication management and smooth operational workflows. National platforms such as this not only celebrate individual excellence but also highlight the vital contributions of Pharmacy Technicians within the broader healthcare ecosystem.

Despite being at an early stage of her professional journey, Zhi Yan has taken on a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including Inventory Management, Rejected Charges Reconciliation, Staff Duty Rostering, and Floor Management. She has also played an active role as a change leader in the National Harmonised Integrated Pharmacy System (NHIPS) implementation—contributing to system testing, developing training materials, and supporting workflow enhancements. Her initiative, adaptability, and drive to learn have set her apart as a rising talent in the profession.

Celebrating Excellence and Dedication – Congratulations, Zeng Hui Hui!

We are delighted to share that Zeng Hui Hui, Senior Principal Medical Social Worker, Medical Social Services, has been conferred the Ann Wee NUS Social Work Alumni Award 2025 – an honour recognising NUS Social Work alumni who have made sustained and impactful contributions to the profession over more than two decades.

Established in 2015 in honour of the late Mrs Ann Wee, the longest-serving Head of the NUS Department of Social Work, the award pays tribute to her pioneering leadership and lifelong dedication to social service. Mrs Wee’s legacy—spanning policy reform, volunteerism, youth rehabilitation and community advocacy—continues to shape and inspire generations of social work practitioners.

Hui Hui’s accomplishment is a proud moment not only for her, but also for all of us across JurongHealth Campus. Her deep empathy, resilience, and unwavering commitment to patient and family care reflect the very essence of medical social work. This recognition is a testament to the quiet yet profound impact social work professionals make every day within our healthcare system.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Hui Hui on this well-deserved honour. Her achievement strengthens our professional identity and serves as powerful reminder of the difference we make everyday – one patient, one family, one life at a time.

Well done, Hui Hui – we are proud of you!
