From Washing to Wiping Scope
The Emergency Department (ED) is shifting from washing to wiping scopes to address environmental challenges, resulting in an efficiency boost of more than 80% with the reduction of cleaning time from one hour to just ten minutes.

Staff training for this new approach began in late February 2024, and by early April, 29 staff members were fully trained, preparing for the rollout of on 1 August 2024.
This initiative leverages best practices from other healthcare institutions, ensuring a method tailored to our ED's needs while promoting efficiency. The shift to wiping promises faster equipment turnover, reduced patient wait times, and more streamlined operations, ultimately enhancing patient care.
By adopting a new management of our equipment, the ED is not only addressing current environmental challenges but also demonstrating the dedication and adaptability of its staff, showcasing their unwavering commitment to healthcare excellence.
