On 14 May 2024, we came together for our Chief Executive's (CE) Townhall at JHC! Our CE, Prof Yeoh Khay Guan shared some exciting updates and future plans for NUHS, covering everything from the Health System and Workforce of the Future to Infrastructure Updates for Tengah, Alexandra, and Kent Ridge Campuses, as well as initiatives from the NUHS Wellbeing Office.

  • Skill Development: We encourage staff to learn new skills, create leadership opportunities, and explore various pathways for career progression.

  • Support Staff: We'll have additional support staff, especially in non-clinical areas, to help you achieve greater autonomy and make meaningful contributions.

  • Process Simplification: We're committed to simplifying work processes and eliminating unnecessary tasks.

  • Embracing Technology: Go virtual and use technology to support your work and enhance efficiency.

Infrastructure Updates for Tengah, Alexandra and Kent Ridge Campuses:

  • Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH): Set in the heart of Tengah Forest Town, the new hospital will be ready by early 2030.

  • Alexandra Hospital: The redevelopment will house a new pandemic-ready emergency department that is directly connected to the intensive care unit and operating theatre, and approximately 1,300 beds.
