Doctors' Onboarding Process
We are taking our next "Small Steps to Big Changes" at JHC!
On Tuesday, 7 February 2023, an internal committee led by CMB and major stakeholders (HODs and representatives from HR, IT, Ops, Comms, Clinical Department and Residency office) initiated a brainstorming session to streamline the onboarding process for new doctors. The aim was to provide new doctors with a full suite of functional tools from the get-go.
The session was conducted similarly to a Rapid Improvement Event (RIE), which is a standard approach to team-based problem solving. The RIE involved a structured, methodical approach towards identifying gaps in processes, in order to streamline workflow procedures and enhance productivity.

Facilitated by the Medical Affairs Clinical Projects team, the session steered the focus group discussions towards four key topics:

System-related readiness

HR-related readiness

Operation readiness

Organisation-wide directory updates
