Since launching in June 2023, the team has received an impressive 422 staff suggestions and successfully tackled 209 inefficiencies across operations, IT, clinical care, and more. 💡✨ Inspired by Hawaii Pacific Health, the G.R.O.S.S. initiative is all about simplifying processes, reducing waste, and focusing on what matters most — delivering the best patient care possible! 👏🙌

$5,000 Award: Food Service Team, Group Hospitality
The Food Service Team secured $5,000 for their Food Service Shared Calendar initiative, allowing event organisers to easily self-serve and book catering slots via the JurongHealth Campus intranet portal. This smart system cut monthly enquiries by 200 and reduced confirmation time from 6 days to just 3! 🙌
Kudos to the team behind this efficient solution: Lee Wei Qing, Senior F&B Assistant, Kang Pei Ling, Senior Associate Executive, Norasykin Binte Abd Rani, F&B Assistant, Elsa Yeo, Senior Manager, and Cheryl Koh (previously staff of Medical Affairs).

$5,000 Award: Group Hospitality & Radiology Team
Group Hospitality & Radiology Team's enhanced ePorter system earned them a $5,000 award, saving 129 manhours over five months by streamlining portering task cancellations. 🚀 This innovation improved communication, task allocation, and response times for critical tasks, proving that simplifying processes boosts efficiency! 🙌
👏 Shoutout to the brilliant team: Ivena Seto Setiawan, Manager, and Franco Leow, Senior Assistant Director, from Radiology, as well as Cheryl Neo, Assistant Director, Benjamin Zhu, Assistant Manager, Kelvin Hong, Assistant Manager, and Celine Low, Senior Executive, Portering services.

$1,000 Award: Endoscopy Department
The Endoscopy Department earned a $1,000 award for their innovative wayfinding guides that help outpatients easily navigate from the Admission Office to the Endoscopy Centre. This initiative cut the need for portering services by 60% and reduced patient travel times, with fewer patients taking over 25 minutes to reach the centre —dropping from 16 to just 1 per week! 🌟

Commendation Award: CSSD and Operating Theatre (OT)
The Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), Perioperative (PeriOp) and Operating Theatre (OT) earned the Commendation Award for their game-changing switch to 399 reusable instrument containers, replacing traditional SMS paper trays. This initiative saved packing time and boosted sustainability by cutting down on non-biodegradable waste.
