Hand Hygiene Day 2023
On Friday, 5 May 2023, we celebrated Hand Hygiene Day on campus! Commemorated every year in conjunction with World Hand Hygiene Day, this special day focused on creating awareness amongst staff on the importance of hand hygiene and cleanliness. Good hand hygiene helps with saving lives, and prevents Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), which are one of the most common problems that occur in the healthcare industry.

Clinical A/Prof Helen Oh, Senior Consultant, Department of Infectious Disease, Changi General Hospital, also delivered a talk on the importance of vaccination for healthcare workers (influenza and COVID-19).
Staff had the chance to showcase their creative posters at the event's Poster Competition Award Ceremony. Other highlights of the event included the Hand Hygiene Assessment "Scrub the Hub", and fun game booths.
