How Everyday Actions Helped NTFGH Halve Healthcare-Associated Infections
In healthcare, preparedness does not begin during an outbreak. It is built every day through the habits, vigilance and commitment of every staff member.
The latest National Healthcare-Associated Infections Point Prevalence Survey (HAI-PPS) demonstrates the impact of these collective efforts. In 2025, NTFGH recorded a healthcare-associated infection (HAI) prevalence of 7.2%, representing a 50.5% reduction from 14.6% in the previous survey cycle. This performance also surpassed the national prevalence of 9.2%, which recorded a 30.3% reduction from the previous cycle.

While this achievement is worth celebrating, it is ultimately the result of a shared commitment across the JurongHealth Campus community, staff who contribute to managing infection risks through the work they do.
The HAI-PPS results are a powerful reminder that infection prevention is a collective effort, and every staff member plays a vital role. Together, by remaining vigilant, embracing innovation and upholding high standards of care, we can continue building a safer and more resilient healthcare system for all.
