A Juicy Treat to Celebrate International Fruit 🍎🥭🍐 Day!
In celebration of International Fruit Day on 1 July 2025, the Health Promoting Hospital (HPH) Committee brought cheer 😄 to staff through a vibrant fruit distribution at Kampung at Tower B, Level 2.
The initiative supports the Physical Health 🩺 domain under the NUHS Staff Total Wellbeing framework, and demonstrates the HPH Committee’s commitment to fostering a positive, health-focused work environment while promoting a supportive workplace culture for all.

Starting from 11:30am, the space came alive with eager staff hoping to collect one of the 1,000 fruit bags prepared for the event. Each bag contained:
-
1 banana 🍌
-
1 packet of lychee
-
Either 1 apple + 1 mango 🍎🥭, or 1 orange + 1 pear 🍊🍐
Each bag was personally packed by the HPH Committee, who took great care in selecting only the freshest fruits for staff to enjoy. Health tips from Senior Principal Dietitian Dr Charles Lew and HealthHub were also featured on posters displayed at the event, encouraging staff to adopt healthier, well-balanced diets.

One happy and satisfied staff member, Govri Mykle, Nurse Educator, Nursing Training & Development (T&D), shared:
“Like the fruit bag shared among friends, the sweetness 🍭of life is best enjoyed together!” 🥭🍎🍌
This fruit distribution is just one of the many ways the HPH Committee seeks to support staff wellbeing. Keep an eye out for upcoming initiatives—including the SG60 National Day Run! 🏃🏾➡️🏃🏻♀️➡️
