Hidden Personality
From Wards to Runways
Who am I after hours? Besides working at the counter, not many people know that I have a hidden side—my passion for emceeing and freelance modelling. I am usually reserved off stage and when I get on stage, be it to emcee/model, I switch to a different person! I was fortunate to be chosen and given the opportunity to emcee for NUHS events.
I am currently working as a senior service associate, team lead in NTFGH. As a frontline healthcare professional, I am usually the first touch point in the hospital. My main role at work is to provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients at the lobby and visitor registration counters, ensure smooth operations at gantries and kiosks, be able to handle first level complaint with a pleasant disposition and lead the team in continuous service improvement initiatives.

I have had the privilege of hosting several major events, including the 19th Service Quality Awards and the National Day Observance Ceremony. I started emcee/hosting back in school days and eventually it became a hobby which I did not know will be useful when I started working. Public speaking has always been something I enjoyed from a young age.

Tapping on the strength, I represented my alma mater, Nanyang Polytechnic, and Singapore in the AFECA Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2016, held in Xiamen, China. My team emerged as champions, and I was honoured to receive the 'Best Presenter' award. After that win, I was also featured in one of our local media, Lianhe Zaobao!

In addition to that, I do freelance modelling since young. From competitions, I gained the experience and exposure that made me venture into new adventures! I have participated in various photo shoots and runway shows, earning opportunities through casting calls. I am truly grateful for these experiences.

To our colleagues. Listen to yourself, listen to your heart! If you really want something, you go get it! Nothing comes easy in life, but anything is possible if you have the passion and determination to achieve!
Some of the greatest achievement for my modelling journey was being the 1st runner up for Mr NYP (Nanyang Polytechnic) in 2016, shooting for Malay bridal photoshoots in 2019 and being one of the top 10 finalists in Project V, fashion models in 2021. I felt that being on stage is somehow natural and exciting for me!

It gives me the adrenaline rush for me to perform better, showcase and embrace the different side of me on stage and off stage. My family, friends and peers have always been encouraging and motivating me, and that inspires me to take part in all this competitions, shaping me into the person I am today!
