Meet Our
Physiotherapist!

Hi, I'm Jia Hui! 👋
I'm a Senior Physiotherapist at NTFGH, and I've been working here for the past four years.
I've always been fascinated by how the human body moves and recovers. My own experience with physiotherapy showed me just how powerful rehabilitation can be in helping people regain function, confidence and independence.
That inspired me to pursue physiotherapy as a career and support others on their recovery journey. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing patients achieve milestones they once thought were impossible — whether it's taking their first steps after surgery, returning to a favourite hobby, or simply being able to carry out daily activities with less pain.
Let's bust some common physiotherapy myths!
Myth #1: Walking is enough to strengthen my body
Truth: Walking is an excellent aerobic exercise that supports cardiopulmonary health and overall endurance. However, it does not provide the same benefits for muscle strength and bone density as targeted resistance training or strength-based exercises. Physiotherapists often combine walking with tailored strengthening programmes to ensure balanced fitness and functional independence.
Myth #2: Physiotherapists only treat sports injuries
Truth: Physiotherapists have diverse specialties, including neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary care, women’s health, musculoskeletal conditions and sports rehabilitation. Beyond treating injuries, they also address functional limitations, mobility impairments, and age-related decline in the geriatric population, helping patients maintain independence and quality of life.
You ask, I'll answer!

Remember, Movement Is Health – Move Well, Live Well.
