Junior Healthcare Explorer Programme Debuts on Our 10th Birthday

To mark a decade since NTFGH and JCH officially opened, we celebrated 10.10 in a meaningful way — by welcoming our very first Junior Healthcare Explorers on 10 October 2025.

In this inaugural run, 120 Primary 6 students from Princess Elizabeth Primary School stepped behind the scenes to discover how care 💖, teamwork 🫱🏻‍🫲🏻, and logistics 🍱 come together across our campus.

Guided by our nurses, students learnt to perform safe, basic bandaging 🤕 and discovered how communication builds patient comfort and trust. At the JurongHealth Mobility Park, they saw how real-world environments — from kerbs to bus steps 🚌 — help patients regain confidence in daily living. A peek into the central kitchen 🧑🏻‍🍳🍲 revealed the planning and coordination that keep meals 🍛🥗, supplies, and services flowing seamlessly every day.

The Junior HealthCare Explorer programme aims to spark curiosity 🧐 about the diverse roles within a hospital and encourage early exploration of potential careers in healthcare. By opening our doors to young participants, we hope to create meaningful learning experiences that showcase the importance of care 🥰, teamwork 🫱🏻‍🫲🏻, and community service 💖.

Here’s to nurturing curiosity, connection, and the healthcare leaders of tomorrow!
