NTUC May Day Awards 2024
NTFGH received the prestigious Plaque of Commendation at this year’s NTUC May Day Awards. NTUC Secretary-General Ng Chee Meng presented the accolade during the award ceremony on 10 May at Marina Bay Sands. The annual event honours organisations for their significant contributions to championing workers’ wages, welfare, and work prospects. NTFGH was nominated by the Healthcare Services Employees' Union, highlighting the hospital’s exemplary efforts in these areas.
At NTFGH, the welfare and development of staff are our top priorities. Through collaborative efforts with the Healthcare Services Employees’ Union, we address various staff interests and strive for sustainable wage increases. Recent initiatives have focused on enhancing productivity and improving patient care outcomes. These initiatives benefit not only our patients but also create a supportive and efficient working environment for our staff.

Our active engagement with the union has led to refined internal procedures and comprehensive training programmes for middle managers, equipping them to manage grievances effectively. This approach fosters a harmonious workplace where issues can be resolved promptly and fairly. Participation in union events further demonstrates NTFGH’s commitment to staff support, building a stronger community within the hospital.

In addition, NTFGH recognises the critical role innovation plays, particularly in leveraging technology to improve patient care and nurses’ efficiency. By implementing cutting-edge solutions, we ensure that our staff can deliver the highest quality care while maintaining operational efficiency. These projects highlights NTFGH’s dedication to advancing healthcare practices and setting new standards in the industry.

Receiving the Plaque of Commendation is a testament to NTFGH’s unwavering dedication to our staff and patients. This recognition motivates us to continue fostering a nurturing and progressive workplace. We are honoured to receive this award and look forward to further enhancing the welfare and development of our workforce, ensuring that both employees and patients benefit from our forward-thinking initiatives.
