JHC Live: 28 April 2023

On Friday, 28 April 2023, we held our 2nd JHC Live session where we had a chance to celebrate our organisation’s milestones along with our staff’s achievements.

1) JHC Strategic Thrusts and Priorities for FY23 – FY25

​

Our CEO, Dr Quek Lit Sin, shared JHC’s key priorities for the next three years which included, improving patient experience outcomes and ensuring high reliability care; sustaining staff engagement and well-being levels across all job families; and building a sustainable healthcare workforce at JHC.

2) Our Journey towards Zero Harm

Kelvin Lew, Assistant Director from Quality, Innovation and Improvement (QII) department at NTFGH, shared the outcomes and learning points of the MOH ESS Baseline Assessment, as well as the next steps moving forward for JHC.

3) Leading Change - Small Steps to Big Changes (SSTBC)

Our staff members also shared the small steps they took to build a more inclusive and positive culture at JHC.

Syed Farid Edrus, Security Supervisor from the Security & Transport, Fire Safety department at NTFGH, shared the team’s mini-initiative of introducing a security self-registration kiosk to automate the pass issuance and registration process for external vendors in lieu of security manpower. ​

Noralyn Md Athmad, Senior Service Team Leader from the Specialist Outpatient Clinic department at NTFGH, shared that the team created a Patient Service Associate (PSA) Appreciation Board that included compliments and notes of encouragement to PSAs to help improve their mental well-being, promote positive vibes in the workplace, and boost team morale.

Thanaletchumi S, Patient Service Associate, Inpatient Operations at NTFGH, and Nurul Natasha, Assistant Manager, Operations at JCH, shared that their team introduced a financial documents deposit box at the lobby reception area at JCH to allow next-of-kin (NOK) of patients to submit their financial documents in a safe and secure manner. This helps ensure a hassle-free and secure submission of documents for NOKs, and prevents the risk of any misplacement of documents.

4) Tribute to Adj A/Prof Lee See Muah

​

We also congratulated Adj A/Prof Lee See Muah on being the first recipient of the “NUHS Emeritus Consultant” at JurongHealth Campus. Congratulations again to Prof Lee, and thank you for all your efforts and contributions in the medical profession!

5) Lunch Buffet Sponsored by QII!

​

Our staff enjoyed a massive lunch buffet together as we celebrated the milestone of our successful completion of MOH’s Ensure Safer Systems (ESS) Baseline Assessment. Thank you to everybody who made this assessment a success!
