Building Partnerships for a More Sustainable Future
How can organisations work together to accelerate climate action and sustainable transformation? This was the focus of the Sustainability Nexus Forum 2026, where more than 300 sustainability leaders and practitioners from across industries came together on 13 August 2026 to share practical experiences and explore opportunities for collective action.
Themed “Building Partnerships for Climate Action and Sustainable Transformation”, the inaugural cross-industry sustainability forum was organised by JurongHealth Campus (JHC), bringing together participants from the healthcare, logistics, infrastructure, energy, pharmaceutical, academic and government sectors.
The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment and Senior Minister of State for Education.
In his welcome address, A/Prof Dan Yock Young, CEO, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, highlighted the importance of working across traditional boundaries to address climate change, energy security and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
He also highlighted a recent sustainability milestone for JHC: both Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital attained the BCA Green Mark 2021 In Operation – Platinum Super Low Energy certification. The achievement reflects the collective dedication, innovation and commitment of colleagues in advancing sustainable healthcare.
Building on this progress, JHC will work closely with colleagues at National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital towards Green Mark certification, further strengthening NUHS’ commitment to sustainable healthcare.
During the forum, senior leaders from PSA International, JTC Corporation, SP Group, Zuellig Pharma and National University Health System shared their organisations’ sustainability journeys, innovations and lessons learnt. Discussions covered energy efficiency and decarbonisation, climate resilience, sustainable infrastructure, circular resource management and sustainable supply chains. International participants also joined virtually, contributing perspectives from across borders.
The forum provided a valuable platform to spark new ideas, strengthen partnerships and create opportunities for collective action as we continue working together to care for both our patients and the planet.
