🌱Sustainable Steps:
Caring for Health and Earth
JurongHealth Campus Unite Public, Partners and Staff in Sustainability Movement
At JurongHealth Campus, sustainability is more than a vision—it’s action in motion.
In support of Singapore’s national green strategy, the Energy & Water Taskforce, National University Health System (NUHS), and the Sustainability Office for NTFGH and JCH are leading bold efforts to embed sustainability across healthcare. Backed by the SG Eco Fund and aligned with Clean & Green Singapore (CGS) and Go Green SG 2025, these initiatives aim to drive behaviour change, reduce our environmental footprint, and create a healthier, more resilient future for all. 🌍
Heal Our Patients, Heal Our Planet” Public Forum (05 June 2025)
The heart of our green campaign?
A forum that sparked real conversations on how healthcare can care for the Earth too. Healthcare professionals, sustainability advocates, government agencies and public attendees came together to share game-changing messaging and plans.

A Climate-Conscious Conversation
The event began with a keynote by Mr Ng Kian Swan, Chief Sustainability Officer of NTFGH and JCH, who emphasised that sustainability in healthcare isn’t a future goal—it’s an immediate imperative, one that calls for urgent collective action and long-term thinking.
Participants gained insights into environmental solutions already in motion:
1. Mr Lim Yong Wei, Executive Director, EaaS, Keppel - Infrastructure Division, introduced the District Cooling System (DCS) and its potential to transform healthcare campus energy management.
2. Mr Luqman Abu Bakar, Manager, Community Engagement & Planning (Southwest) National Environment Agency, reinforced the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle — as tools to reshape our daily habits and community practices.
3. Ms Joycelyn Chua, Product Designer, GovTech and Mr Lin Po Chien, Software Development, NCS, shared more through “Stop Consuming Junk Software!”- an information pack on how digital habits contribute to carbon emissions.
