Exploring Patient Safety and Quality Initiatives: A Special Visit by WHO-GALLOPS
We welcomed a distinguished delegation to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) and Jurong Community Hospital (JCH) on 29 Feb. This visit formed part of the 4-day programme organised for the World Health Organisation (WHO) - Global Action for Leaders & Learning Organisations on Patient Safety (GALLOPS).
Comprised of participants from Ethiopia, Egypt, India, Kenya, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, USA, and WHO offices, the delegation's visit aimed to delve into aspects of patient safety and quality care. Tailored topics and tour locations had been meticulously arranged, aligning with the WHO delegation's requests to cover key areas ensuring safe practices, system redesign, and effective patient safety programmes.
The session was opened by CEO Dr Quek Lit Sin, followed by Dr Lim Ghee Hian (Vice Chairman, Medical Board (Clinical Risk and Clinical Quality)) and Dr Darryl Tan (Senior Resident Physician, Psychiatry), facilitated by Ms Jasmine Tan from Medical Affairs.
Learning objectives encompassed a comprehensive overview of innovative initiatives and technologies driving patient safety and quality care within JHC.
