Hospital cuts operating theatre turnaround time from 21 minutes to 12

The ‘all hands on deck’ initiative, together with several other initiatives, were proposed by a team led by Adj Asst Prof Ng Chew Lip, Consultant, Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, NTFGH, after analysing data collected over the past seven years. Other ways of improving workflow include steps to reduce last-minute cancellations by foreign patients, as well as re-engineering existing processes for eye surgery.

Study aims to tailor breast screening based on risk factors

BREATHE is currently actively recruiting at several locations, including NTFGH. The study aims to evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of a risk-based approach to screening for breast cancer.

NTFGH patients Mdm Rosna and Mdm Tan undergo a Whipple surgery and parathyroidectomy respectively led by Dr Thng Yongxian, Consultant, Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, and Dr Oh Han Boon, Consultant, Division of Breast and Endocrine Surgery, Department of General Surgery, NTFGH.
