减肥疗法 (Weight loss therapy)

Dr Chan Soo Ling, Consultant, Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine, NTFGH, said that behavioural therapy (lifestyle intervention) is the key to fighting and preventing obesity. It focuses on reducing calorie intake and increasing calorie expenditure by changing eating habits and diet, and using exercise to achieve weight loss. Obese individuals can also be treated with drugs under the guidance of a doctor or even consider weight loss surgery.
